I felt it necessary have my statement of purpose on its own page, so here goes:

This is not a scholarly journal. My intent is not to produce an academic paper with footnotes and references. You may from time to time find such references, or links to other pages on the web where you can get more information, but this isn’t an academic exercise.

Rather, it does consist of my personal views regarding poetics in the 21st century. My primary concern is “Where do we go when Postmodernism has exhausted itself?” By the way, I think it already has.

I hope you’ll take my ideas and make them your own. Reject the ones that are of no use to you or that don’t resonate with your own preferences. It’s really just food for thought. An ongoing discussion. As a result, you might find me contradicting things I’ve said in older posts, which is likely as a result of more careful thought on a topic or my own adjustments after reviewing my own work. If that bothers you perhaps you should start your own blog.
