Interesting read about the deaths of some of the world’s best literary artists.
More great stuff from The Kenyon Review: The history of copyright. The interesting thing is Benjamin Franklin never patented any of his inventions. He also didn’t respect others’ copyrights.
Finally, Evil Knievel is dead. At 69. I remember seeing him do crazy things in the 1970s when I was growing up down south. As he grew older I didn’t hear much of him any more. His son tried some antics, but they weren’t nearly as exciting. I mean, what can be more poetic than jumping the Grand Canyon or live sharks? Or failing to jump them in heroic efforts? Someone should write an epic about that guy, because his feats were sure epic. Even the ones he didn’t complete.
