I’m certainly not one to brag (OK, that’s a lie - you know all poets are liars, right?), but I just thought I’d mention a few things about some World Class Poetry achievements.
First, I got an e-mail today telling me that I’ve been ranked on the Poetry Blog Rankings website. I’m not in the top 100 yet. But I am in the top 623 blogs. There are more than 2,000 poetry blogs listed in the system, which means I’m ranked higher than almost three quarters of them.
Well, if that didn’t impress you then maybe this will. World-Class-Poetry.com has attracted a steady traffic of more than 5,000 visits for the month of November. We’ve had 3,558 unique visitors and the month isn’t even over yet. What this means is that we get 1,500 visits from people who have been on the site before. Now I think that’s impressive!
The numbers speak for themselves. Last December (2006), the website was getting a daily average of 21 visits. Today, we’re getting an average 198 daily visits and 136 unique daily visitors taking a look at 304 pages. That’s an average of 3 pages per visitor. Now that’s some significant growth! I’ll be posting some information on the website and the blog soon about potential opportunities to sponsor us. Be on the lookout!
And now for the latest World Class Poetry update. We’ve added a new publication to our publications page. Check it out!
I welcome your feedback. You can leave a comment here on this blog or contact me through my contact form at the website. Send your feedback, suggestion, or question. I’m always looking for wisdom.
Oh, and before I forget … you’ll love receiving my daily blog posts by RSS feed. I just know it! Click on the icon at the top of the right sidebar labeled “RSS Feed.” Don’t know what that is? Don’t worry. Click here. I’ll tell you all about it. Then come back to the blog and click the RSS Feed button.
